Brown-Forman Commercial Finance Analyst - Thailand in Bangkok, Thailand

Meaningful Work From Day One

Assist the Finance Manager Thailand providing financial management support and analytical insights to the business management teams in Thailand. This role is responsible for support and preparing reports, analysis and working with data for marketing, sales, finance and other departments of BF Thailand.

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Support Finance Manager in building annual budget and subsequent projections. This includes thoroughly understanding B-F planning processes and ensuring data is submitted timely and accurately. This also includes managing communication with internal stakeholders, especially marketing and sales departments.

  • Support Finance Manager in identifying and explaining key drivers for variances vs. last year and vs. budget/projections, including monthly assessment of risks and upsides vs. the latest projection.

  • Support with the preparation of presentations, analyses and documents, including White Papers, relating to the budgets, projections and long term plans as requested by Finance Manager

  • Support demand planning processes by ensuring alignment of bottom up forecasted volumes from channel heads.

Commercial Support and Analytical Insights:

  • Providing commercial support by preparation of sales data realization

  • Maintain knowledge of external industry trends, utilizing data sources such as Nielsen and IWSR as requested by teams

  • Through hindsight analytics and forward looking scenario analysis, support decision making in areas such as volume, pricing, margin control, investment efficiency and new SKU introductions.

  • Maintain and analyze price structures/value chain, ensuring the structures properly reflect the current market conditions (transfer prices, margins, shelf pricing, taxes, etc.).

  • Work with commercial team, generate pricing structure and maintain pring in SAP.

Support with Financial Management & Controllership:

  • Support Finance Manager in tracking, analyzing and reporting on depletions, discounts, brand expense and SG&A spending to ensure that internal and external stakeholders are informed and remain within budgets/projections.

  • Work with internal and external accounting teams to ensure our financial results are accurately reported (proper expense classification within the P&L line items, properly supported accruals, monitoring of receivables, etc.).

  • Support with setting up and monitoring internal controls

Reporting and analysis:

  • Support the preparation of monthly/quarterly management reporting and review.

  • Work on improvement of reporting processes, data maintenance and insight collection together with Finance Manager

  • Keep key stakeholders up to date with reporting tools and collect feedback for further development

Ad hoc

  • Financial and strategic modelling

  • RTC and commercial scenario planning

  • Other ad hoc projects as required

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.

  • 5 or more years of experience in Finance

  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently based on logical assumptions and factual information.

  • Advanced PC skills, including Excel and Power Point.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle projects to completion by agreed deadlines.

  • Fluent business English, both speaking and writing.

  • Experience with SAP and BW (or similar software) is highly regarded
