The Area Manager is the primary in-country representative for Brown-Forman, responsible for overseeing all business activity in the area. This position will be based in Buenos Aires and is responsible for the development and growth of Brown-Forman’s business in Argentina and Perú.
The Area Manager plays a vital role to effectively develop and implement Country strategies. This role is responsible for the Route to Market and Route to Consumer strategy and implementation in the area.
The Area Manager is the key contact calling on our distributor partners, collaboratively building and translating strategies into commercial and channel priorities. This role serves as the main conduit to all business aspects for Brown-Forman (marketing, finance, accounting, legal, supply chain, registration, training and others).

Delivery of area budgeted volume sales and profit goals in accordance with fiscal plans and long-term plans
On-going champion and communication of business vision, strategy, barriers, priorities, and key changes to BF organization to secure alignment and support.
Leads the planning, focus and execution of channel priorities, pricing and physical availability KPIs; through intense commercial leadership of distributor teams, inclusive but not limited to GM, head of sales, head of marketing, KAMs and other constituencies inside the distributor network.
In addition to be the primary contact of local distributors’ top management. This role leads team of dedicated BF resources inside our distributor.
Partners with the SouLA marketing manager to develop outstanding Marketing plans with the lens of the BF Growth framework and BF of brand building. Matrix organization leads the Argentina & Perú Trade Marketing Mgr to enable excellence in execution and initiative post-assessments.
Collaborates with SouLA Finance team in forecasting business, assessing price structures, promotion analytics and other investment management to maximize our revenue, share of market, and overall financial performance. This role is accountable for managing discounts, A&P, and additional investments (i.e. Gift) to deliver P&L targets.
Stewards long-term strategy for assigned area inclusive of portfolio, geography, resources, RTM and RTC evolution to achieve these ambitions.
Collaborates with BF stakeholders, such as supply chain, customer service, production, legal, BF centers of excellence, accounting, and others to enable value and sustainable business practices.
B-F point person to all external parties, government agencies, lobby groups, legal, trade bodies, etc Point person for all BF Internal Audit discussions and negotiations with distributor
Support Distributor ́s Brand Managers, and work closely with Distributors and agencies to ensure best in class implementation in the On- and Off-Trade. Give the guidelines to evaluate performance of brand building activities.
Coordinates the approval process to ensure all activities and materials and brand communications are properly approved by brand and legal. Lead and coordinate VAP ́s and Gifting needs for markets.
Lead and support briefs construction for marketing activities/programs and ensures proper pre and post-evaluation of activities.
Provides feedback and approval of ongoing marketing activations and local sponsorships. Ensures regular brand expense control, reconciling spend vs budget and approves distributor spend for reimbursement.
We Are Looking For People Who
Degree in Business, Marketing, International Marketing or equivalent discipline
6-10 years of experience in FMCG industry, preferably spirits, and knowledgeable of the distributor / brand owner relationship.
Business acumen, prioritization, analytical thinking, problem-solving and working with others • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, and strong leadership to align system around key priorities.
Strong commercial acumen, knowledge of price structures, channels, customers, price-promotion modeling, execution measurement, and trade activation.
Understanding of On, Off, and E- premise dynamics, differences by channel and shopper missions and baskets, average margins, and key demand generation levers by channel.
Fluent in English and Spanish
