Brown-Forman Global Sales Operations Coordinator- Scotch Whisky in Edinburgh, United Kingdom

Job Summary: Reporting to the Global Brand Manager - Rare & Exclusive Whisky, coordinate the development and support the sales operations process for our limited release scotch whisky products and cask bottling program in line with business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

Global limited release project management

  • Support product development and project management of the global limited release programme e.g. Single cask and Cask Strength batches, limited editions, special cask releases, annual vintages etc.

  • Liaise with customer services, finance, logistics, production planning, supply chain management and quality control to assist in the timely delivery of products, from scoping through to bottling and distribution to markets.

  • Administrate the packaging artwork development for cask bottling, liaising with key stakeholders including print vendors. Project Manage the development process for annual release product packaging projects, utilising the Workfront project management system. Administer/monitor the bottling scheduling of cask bottlings in collaboration with Production and commercial teams.

  • Work with brand and financial teams to ensure limited release products drive value for the business and meet our financial objectives by monitoring cost-of-goods.

  • Liaise with local market teams globally to coordinate limited release market exclusive product development projects, e.g. cask bottling, confirming scope (e.g. packaging solution, timing), providing status updates and monitoring milestones to meet project timelines.

  • Receipt and despatch of cask bottling liquid samples in cooperation with the distillery, blending and shipping teams. Management of cask allocations to markets and redistribution of casks and samples.

Inventory and allocation management

  • Inventory management of bottled stock, working with Brand and Commercial market teams, and financial stakeholders, to minimise obsolescence and ensure timely depletion of stock in the warehouse at Newbridge; working towards product shipment within three months of bottling, i.e. in line with company targets.

  • Coordination of allocation management; working with Brand teams and liaising with Customer Service and Business Processes to administer the on-going changes to product allocations.

  • Coordination and Management of Brown Forman Single Malt Archive involving regular stock checking

Sales reporting and category analysis

  • Manage the creation and communication of sales and inventory reports, utising the SAP system.

  • Liaise with local market teams to gather data and feedback on where products are distributed and sold across markets and across channels; reporting back and presenting to the Brand team.

  • Ac-hoc category analysis, such as competitor pricing and packaging analysis; preparation of presentation of findings.

  • Sales and Marketing support

  • Management of product entry into whisky awards, working with Brand Managers to confirm product submissions, managing and submitting samples, administrating award assets.

  • Assist with the administration of asset creation and tools for sales presentations, whisky events and brand education.


  • Project management, numeracy, business analytics, commercial acumen

  • Microsoft Excel

  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills

  • Strong data analysis and interpretation

  • Strong time management skills

  • Capable of handling portfolio complexity and multiple tasks effectively and efficiently under pressure.

  • Effective communicator: the ability to interpret and share complex information in a succinct and impactful manner to multi-functional stakeholders

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Certificate of further education (university/college). Bachelor’s Degree BA, or equivalent experience.

  • Approx. 3-5 years’ experience in a business administrative/Sales operations role

  • Whisky industry experience desirable.
