Meaningful Work From Day One

This position works closely with the HR Director to identify and support current and future needs of the German organization. The incumbent contributes to the HR (People, Organization, Culture) strategy development and facilitates the execution of B-F Deutschland’s business strategies through people and organizational development. The HR Manager ensures business goals, objectives and initiatives are supported through the execution of HR strategies, policies and procedures and promotes a shared understanding of organizational values, operating principles, and cultural change imperatives.

What You Can Expect:

  • Acts as an influential HR Business Partner to Brown-Forman Germany Manages the employee relations function by utilizing prior knowledge and experience in HR coaching and counseling for employee relations, conflict resolution and organizational development

  • Facilitates team workshops to drive team effectiveness and collaboration Drives the Talent and Succession Planning process within functions, providing key people insights and development areas

  • Drives awareness and initiatives which support the Diversity and Inclusion agenda Supports the HR Director and Functional Leaders to implement initiatives to increase engagement and enablement within functions to nurture our culture Partners with Talent Acquisition and hiring manager to manage recruitment and acquisition efforts and ensures the process runs smoothly to build the best and most capable diverse workforce

  • Manages personnel administration area: responsible for supervising obligatory employees’ documentation, collecting and supervision over all personnel documentation necessary for correct employment and payroll processes

  • Partners with Learning & Development on driving growth and development needs of the assigned business units, including individual, team and organizational development Supports the onboarding process, addressing both immediate and longer-term employee needs

  • Supports performance management activities, working closely with managers and employees throughout the process, including coordinating and overseeing the implementation of employee performance plans, and managing the process to a mutually-beneficial end for all involved

  • Ensures uniform and equitable application of organizational policies and procedures including investigation and resolution of employee issues, if applicable Partners with Payroll/Accounting on preparation and checking of the monthly payroll Manages HR related projects for Germany as assigned

What You Bring To The Table:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology or related field or equivalent experience

  • A minimum of 7+ years of in-depth HR management experience

  • Good knowledge of German employment law

  • Excellent collaboration, communication, coaching and influencing skills Ability to build strong relationships throughout all levels and across cultures Business fluent German and English

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
