The scope of this position covers SAP ERP business systems design and process improvement for Brown-Forman Corporation in the disciplines of Production Systems Management, specializing in Manufacturing and Supply Chain. This person will provide management oversight to ensure the consistent design, development, and deployment of the SAP Production Systems Management environment, including providing day-to-day direction to those working on major initiatives in the B-F environment. Additionally, this person will serve as the liaison to Production and Logistics process owners to define business challenges, identify process improvement opportunities, and recommend design options that drive business value.
Manage the SAP Manufacturing and Supply Chain IT team, expertly allocate resources, develop people, and maintain an engaging and diverse environment. Research, analyze, design, identify and facilitate process improvements. Make solution recommendations to the business units and process councils. Implement new functionality and improvements for business processes utilizing integrated system technologies (e.g. SAP, Coupa, Salesforce, Google) where appropriate. Provide outstanding support to B-F’s Production and Logistics teams. Ensure BF SAP ERP, SAP APO, DevX, ETQ, mobility platforms, and other Production Systems configuration and process standards are documented and communicated, and deviations to standard are documented. Maintain SAP Production Systems test cases and scenarios, and manage the B-F process mapping system implementation
What You Can Expect
SAP Manufacturing and Supply Chain IT team management; process analysis; systems design, documentation, configuration, testing, and training; level 3 applications support.
Supervise the day-to-day activities of Production Systems business analysts and external consultants working on large, medium, and small initiatives in B-F’s SAP global environment, while balancing everyday support needs
Develop team skills and competencies. Maintain an inclusive and engaging environment that promotes excellent performance and high quality outcomes.
Collaborate effectively with business process owners and IT colleagues to align activities appropriately.
Follow IT PPMO project methodology, responsible for all aspects of project lifecycle management and the coordination of resources across various IT functions and within the business operating units. Work with the Brown-Forman IT PPMO to allocate resources to projects appropriately.
Directly collaborate with process owners and super users in the development of business requirements. Report strategic project outcomes and status to IT Leadership and PPMO Serve as in-house expert on enterprise-wide technologies (e.g. SAP S/4HANA Production and Logistics, and integration with SAP and non-SAP cross-application modules, e.g. SAP APO, Salesforce, Coupa, etc.), business processes, and end-user information delivery tools.
Lead small to large size initiatives and perform system configuration, when needed.
Maintain the library of test scenarios for SAP Global ERP and SCM environments, ensuring tests are updated and executed within reason to ensure critical business processes are not disrupted by landscape changes.
Ensure Brown-Forman configuration standards are well-defined and clearly linked to business processes. Ensure deviations to standard configuration are made only when no alternatives exist and that their rationale is well-articulated and follows appropriate approval paths.
Serve as the final sign-off for all significant SAP changes moving into the production landscape.
Provide level three support to the IT Business Process team and directly to the business.
Train other IT team members in Production Management Systems related technologies and processes, serving as the IT SAP ERP and APO Supply Chain expert.
Investigate and solve problems by documenting solutions and transferring key knowledge to IT staff.
We Are Looking For People Who
Established team manager, with a track record of success leading and developing business analysts.
Proven ability to quickly learn existing Business Processes and combine knowledge from multiple disciplines (e.g. SAP capability, Standard industry best practice) in order to produce an optimal business solution.
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and implement multiple enterprise-wide level projects with high degree of complexity.
Ability to lead, manage, design, structure, and facilitate multiple concurrent workshops and presentations that are effective and valued by the client,
10 years or more of relevant work experience designing, implementing, and supporting SAP Production, Supply Chain, and Logistics Management (MM, PP-PI, QM, WM, APO-DP, APO-GATP, APO-SNP, APO-PPDS, APO-CIF), as well as integrations to FI/COPA.
Possess the skills to initiate, evaluate, develop, defend, and influence users on adoption of solid, actionable recommendations.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
What Makes You Unique
Multilingual capabilities; especially English and Spanish.
MBA or Master’s degree in Business - Supply Chain Management or Operations Management, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience leading change by implementing enterprise-wide business planning and processing applications, and knowledge of integration points with SAP application areas such as SD, MM, PP, FI/CO, BW, Basis, etc.
Integrating Coupa, Salesforce integration with SAP using BOOMI.
Experience with content management, digital asset management, and document imaging applications.
