This position plays a very important part in the performance of Brown-Forman (B-F) as it largely focuses on the retail environment, which is where consumer choices happen. The role makes valuable contributions that help with key organizational decisions to support the growth of our brands. This role also conditions & trains you for future commercial roles while you work with a very diverse & motivated team, building your capabilities in an organization driven by deep rooted values.
Meaningful Work from Day One
The objective of the role is to develop & accelerate Brown-Forman brands in the Balkans and Mediterranean region (Turkey and Greece) Travel Retail, guided by our brand building philosophy and global brand strategies. By spending time at the airport retail outlets, building customer relationships and training & mentoring our Brand Consultants, you will be well equipped to take important decisions related to interventions that support B-F’s performance. You will lead our team of Brand Consultants & build their capabilities in the region. A highly collaborative role, you will be negotiating with customers and manage some accounts while working closely with your team members.
What You Can Expect
Visit airport Duty Free outlets in the region to develop insights from the shop floor and ensure the pre-defined presence of B-F brands.
Build relationships with purchasing & shop floor contacts to identify profitable growth opportunities and negotiate & influence the enhancement of our presence in stores.
Partner with the Customer Marketing team to support the flawless execution of our brand building activities & work with customers to evaluate these activities to make future recommendations.
Recruit, lead, train, motivate & evaluate our Brand Consultants in the region.
Manage investments and make recommendations that positively support the shape of the region’s P&L.
Partner with Customer Service / Supply Chain teams / suppliers to ensure timely availability of stock & materials for promotions & activations.
Input into monthly & quarterly performance review for the Europe West region.
Support with pricing, listing and space negotiations with customers on the assigned territory.
Manage the P&Ls of customers assigned to you, this is with the intent of developing the role for a career in commercial.
What You Bring to the Table
Minimum 3 years of experience in field sales, building strong relationships and recruiting & leading sales teams in a similar role.
Exposure to working in a multi brand retail environment that requires in-depth planning and a deep analysis of brand performance & its drivers.
Demonstrated ability to build strong, effective working relationships with external & internal stakeholders in a role that requires negotiation & decision-making skills.
Ability to communicate in written & spoken English - this is the business language used in the region.
Strong computer skills with proficiency, or the ability to quickly build proficiency, on Google Workspace.
What Makes You Unique
The below skills & experience, while not mandatory requirements are very useful for the position.
Experience working in the Travel Retail channel.
A deep understanding of the region, gained from either directly working in the region or through working on projects in the region.
Ability to communicate in Turkish, in addition to the mandatory requirement of English. Language skills are a plus.
