Brown-Forman Senior Financial Analyst - Jack Daniel's Ready-To-Drink (Remote Work Opportunity) in Louisville, Kentucky
Meaningful Work From Day One:
This position functions as the data and financial analytics professional primarily for RTD Innovation (Jack & Coca-Cola). The position’s primary responsibilities support areas such as geographic expansion, portfolio expansion and prioritization, resource allocation, competitive analysis, and business performance management. The successful candidate will help develop and support brand growth strategies through developing strong analytic tools, applications, and support analyses.

Business Analytical Support:
Financial Performance Analysis: Proactively identify opportunities for business value improvement; analyze problem areas and help identify solutions.
Portfolio Strategy Support: Work with business and finance leadership on ad hoc projects to support the global Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola relationship, Part-Time rangers and other future RTD innovations.
Track metrics related to strategic and financial goals and use this information to develop performance insights.
Effectively analyze financial information to forecast business and category growth
Geographic and Portfolio Expansion: Provide analytical leadership to identify and analyze growth opportunities for market expansion and portfolio development.
Support local markets in the development of the Annual Business Plans, ensure proper costing of proprietary materials (bulk whiskey, KO concentrate), and help Steer co. in approving margin components of proprietary materials price. Ensure prices are set in accordance with production timeline.
Monitor proprietary materials transfer pricing, provide data to explain variations between forecasts and actual results. Track transfer prices by market, support the annual corridor approach analysis
Responsible for the global rollup of the Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola annual business plans and long-term forecasts. This will require developing a robust and flexible financial model, identifying trends and insights, and managing stakeholder alignment. Assess advanced analytics techniques to improve forecast accuracy.
Assist in the annual corridor calculation, determining the Target Share of Value for Brown-Forman and the related actuals, recommending an adjustment to proprietary materials if outside corridor.
Assist with presentation development for senior leadership (eg Board of Directors, ELT presentations, stakeholder update presentations etc.)
Work in a disciplined and organized way to complete tasks and other activities in a timely manner
Independently manage own time and show good judgment in prioritizing work to meet deadlines
Maintain confidentiality and privacy of company and Coca-Cola relationship financial information
Reporting & Tool Development:
Design and build publication-ready data visualizations & reports using diverse sets of structured and unstructured data.
Work closely and collaboratively with teams to ensure alignment of views on brand performance.
Cross-Functional Partnerships & Influence:
Strategize in collaboration with functional teams to identify data-driven solutions to ongoing needs across the organization.
Consolidate and integrate brand information across functions (e.g., consumer, trade, financial) into meaningful insights about brand performance and potential opportunities and communicate to extended brand team members any implications
Brand expense budget management, establishing template and providing analytical support
Technical Qualifications
Demonstrated ability and knowledge of various software packages, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, and Tableau
Strong Microsoft and/or Google Sheets financial modeling experience is critical
Understanding of both structured and unstructured data, the benefits of both, and when / how to apply them.
Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls and measures.
What You Bring to the Table:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business or other business-related degree; 3+ years related business and/or financial experience (commercial, brand and/or consumer-based analysis).
Fluent in English language, both written and verbal
Demonstrates good business sense, including the ability to correctly interpret financial information
Proactive self – starter with the intellectual curiosity to go looking for relevant questions to be answered
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in financial modeling and analysis
Exhibit the intellectual integrity and professional maturity to provide management with objective and impartial analysis
Ability to thrive in a rigorous, team-oriented environment.
