What You Can Expect

The Trade Advocacy Manager assists in developing and is accountable for executing a fully comprehensive advocacy program for select Brown-Forman brands, educating, engaging and inspiring B-F employees, distributor personnel, trade partners and target consumers to serve as our brand advocates.

  • Execute traditional trade-facing activities alongside tightly focused consumer & retail engagements.

  • Service a set of core target accounts in assigned market(s), while additionally staying attentive to new opportunities for brand distribution both in assigned and secondary markets.

  • Act as the face of the brand(s) at all major trade shows (e.g., Bar Convent, Tales of the Cocktail) and local activities. Expected to integrate even further into those trade-facing opportunities through the development of brand-driven seminars/educational tasting opportunities.

  • Deliver against key KPI targets for menu placements, trade happy hours, distributor GSMs, education & training and social media.

  • Engage in key initiatives, including national cocktail festivals, POS & unexpected gestures, advocacy news and side projects (cocktail recipe guides, etc.)

What You Bring to the Table

  • Professional with at least 4 years of marketing and/or sales experience in the spirits/beverage alcohol industry. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Expert communication skills, particularly in relationship building and presenting effectively to all audience sizes.

  • Extensive knowledge and ability to educate others on select spirits categories.

  • Experience in managing and collaborating effectively with outside agency partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute innovative “big ideas” that grow brands.

  • Ability and willingness to travel at least 50% of the time, including some weekends.

Pay

The range of pay for the role is $135,751 - $165,926 (the base salary will be $108,601 - $132,741 paid semi-monthly; plus the cost of labor allowance equal to 25% of the base salary). NOTE: Base salary range depends on a combination of job-related factors to include candidate skills, experience and internal equity.

Location

The successful candidate must reside in New York City supporting the New York business.
